Creating impulse responses for eq etc

MessageAuthor

So, I tried making an Impulse response of an eq type setting. Created a test tone, used the plugin in on it, recorded the output and deconvolved it. The problem is the resulting IR behaves like a reverb, an you can hear the sweep. How would you go about making a short EQ type IR. Just use a very short test tone sweep?

RE: Creating impulse responses for eq etc

i attached some 1 sample duration pulses (impulses). there's one for each (common) sample rate up to 192kHz. they are @ 0 dBFS so you may need to adjust the level. they are "centered" at 1 second in a 2 second duration file, but you may want to adjust the placement and/or length of file depending on how long the IR needs to be. edit: there is no need to do any deconvolution or anything with these, once the impulse is run through an EQ it is the IR.
