Pro Tools and Macros

Okay, so, say you're editing dialogue and you wind up with a track with literally hundreds on hundreds of empty spots created by, say, removing breaths etc, and you need to go in and fill them all with roomtone. Now, I know all about Paste to Fill, which is great and all, but for the love of god, is there any way to turn this mind-numbingly repetitive procedure into a macro or something and just let it run thru and fill in all the holes? Perhaps what I ought to be saying/asking is, How DOES one create a macro for a task like this? I'm assuming it IS possible, and I'm one of those people who've just never gotten around to figuring out the world of macros out of laziness. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Kenny Gioia mentions a macro utility called 'Quick Keys' which he uses in PT to combine 4 processes into 1 key stroke. This sounds like what you're looking for. Do a search for this. It might help.

Ah yes, the HD solution. Actually, I just realized (as I often do) that I was completely looking at Paste to Fill in only one specific light. This is what happens when one goes from editing :15 and :30 pieces to suddenly handling 15-hour ones! I'm all good now.
