Brake Caliper Question

I'm going to have a go at replacing the rear pads on my 740....question and sorry if its a bit dumb....do the caliper pistons push back into the caliper easily or do I have to get some sort of tool to do this?

no problem a large pair of grips or a lever will ease the pistons back just like the front ones ...

Be sure to press them back in straight, perhaps with a piece of wood across the surface to ensure it goes in smooth

Sometimes you can use one of the old brake pads in place of a piece of wood.

It's not that hard unless the pistons are sticking. I use mole grips or water pump pliers although this is a little "one-sided", but it works for me. However, be careful not to damage the rubber boots. Unscrew the master cylinder reservoir cap to allow fluid level to move upwards. Regards.
