Hard Drives for Mac Pro

Hi I wonder if anyone can give some info. My Mac Pro came with 4 X 500gig Western digital drives in, which never gave any problems, and they where dead quiet. I then ran out of space, on my SFX drive and decided to get new drives all around. People over here said that Seagate is the best , so I bought 4 750 GIG seagate drives, and stuck them in the computer. They seem to be working fine, except for being a bit noisy, especially when you open aplications. What do you use, and whats the prefered choice out there? PS I think I've asked this before, my Drives mount in a diffrent order everytime I restart my Mac. Although Mac HD is always first, the Audio , SFX , and Video drives are diffrent everytime, is this normal?

All the systems I configure are equipped with Western Digital RE2 series drives. I find them to be the best, durable, fast and quiet. They are great for fitting in Raid arrays too.

we have 6 Mac Pros all with 4 hard drives each. the drives always appear out of order when restarted. i even went through disc utility to see what order the drives were in and renamed them. we've learned to live with this. we have 3 quad-core mac pro w/ 1 250GB 3 750GB drives 4GB ram we have 3 8-core mac pro w/ 1 250GB 3 750GB drives 4GB ram
