TC Powercore with FXpansion and PT 6.4

MessageAuthor

Before I drop several hundred dollars on a TC Electronic Powercore Compact, can anyone tell me (Angus, perhaps?) what level of success I'll have using the Powercore Compact through the FXpansion wrapper? I have an older version of the wrapper (1.06 I believe) and am unsure if I'd need a newer version or if a newer version will even work with PT 6.4. Will the wrapped plugins still work seamlessly with the hardware? Also, the bottom line is that I'm looking for some dedicated, outboard effects processing. If anyone has any other ideas, please contribute. Thanks for the time. Pete

Good info, thanks for the response. I'll check on the FXpansion forums as you suggested. Following up on the Quad Core: How pricey are we talking? Does the Quad Core require 4 PCI slots, assuming it's all add-in? Is there any noise associated with internal processing such as this? Thanks in advance, SPK. Pete

The Quad Core I'm referring to is the "Quadzilla" computer that is detailed in the . It would be a replacement for your current PC. It eliminates the need for external processing and/or processing cards. Current price point is about $1500 for a complete system.
