Is "Ex Machina" about REAPER?

I just watched the first third of the film "Ex Machina" So far it seems to be about the creator or Reaper. Young guy who is very talented signs up, apparently voluntarily, with an older guy who can control much of the world's equipment and tries to control the younger guy. The younger guy does not want to be controlled. Or is it about Assange?

I like this movie too, but I've never expected to compare someday REAPER and Ex Machina... The young guy remind more of Bill Gates in the 70'. Once I tried once on Reddit EDM Production, to ask people to post a picture that represent their DAWs, like an allegory, but I got flammed as "troll" ^^ (Otherwise, I think this thread would have it's place in Lounge discussions) So here it is : A picture that represent my DAW. The knife goes for the audio editing abilities that I love in REAPER, because I were used to Sony Vegas & Acid Pro worlflow + being an explorator, outside of the "comfort zone" or heavily marketed products.
