Uprated tyres for a diesel!???

Hi, Do I need uprated tyres for a diesel (V40)? The ones on there are 205-50-zr16 87w. I've had a quote on some 205-50-r16 w. What's the difference other than speed rating, and do I need the zr and 87w bits? Book speed is only 121mph anyway. Thanks in advance

Well s40 diesels top out at 126 so W's will be fine, infact the last set of conti's i just took off mine were W's and they were fine at 147 (tested on a private road of course) with weight of a 2.0t lump sat on them

Just had em fitted. Very good service. Ordered and paid for them online, chose my prefered fitting location and time slot, and turned up! Tyres seem ok, though I've only done about 20 miles so far but I had the same ones on a Mondeo ST200 and they performed very well. Nipper said!!
